Join the fun at the Wolverley Carnival on 4th July 2009. Considered the main event in the Wolverley calendar this years theme will be 1960's America.
If you are not aware of the connection between Wolverley and America then take a look at Mike Webster's web site which details the US Army Hospital which used to reside on what is now the Wolverley Camp Site.

Easter Fair - Wolverley Memorial Hall - Saturday 4th April 2009
Easter Fair
Wolverley Memorial Hall
Saturday 4th April 2009
2 p.m.
A wide range of stall including cakes, bric-a-brac, toys, books, household items, cards, plus a bottle stall, raffle and other games.
Funds raised will go to support projects run by
the Anglican Diocese of Peru
amongst disabled and disadvantaged children
and young people in the shanty towns of Lima.
Already the money raised by the parishioners of Wolverley and Cookley has made a real difference to the lives of disabled children, funding therapies and parental support; they have provided music, books and stimulating materials to the children of women in prison; they have enabled young people from very poor backgrounds to realise their dreams of studying for careers in nursing, IT and other paths.
This is the major fund-raiser for 2009; please support us.

American Military Hospital DVD
I would like to say a big "Thank You" to all those people who have kindly bought copies of the DVD, showing the dedication of the memorial to the wartime American Military Hospital in the Parish church last June. Originally, just 300 copies were made, and with the help of some of those people who gave so much of their time with the dedication of the memorial, we‘ve almost sold out. I would, however like to say a "Special Thanks" to Ray and Jazz at the Costcutter store in Sebright Road for already selling over a 100 DVD's for us. Thanks to all this help we have now had extra copies made of the DVD and hope that people will continue to support us and to buy more copies.
